What is C.TEST (Test of Practical Chinese)?
C.TEST (实用汉语水平认定考试 shíyòng hànyǔ shuǐpíng rèndìng kǎoshì) is the short form for the Test of Practical Chinese, a Chinese proficiency test developed by Beijing Language and Culture University for non-native speaking Chinese learners. It tests the learners' ability to use Chinese in social and daily life. C.TEST aims to assess the candidates' ability to use Chinese in such topics as business, culture, education, trade or other commonly used topic areas.

C.TEST (Test of Practical Chinese) Level 5 1. This level is designed for those who have the ability to complete intermediate to advanced tasks on topics related to social life, daily work, etc.
2. Goals: Master advanced vocabulary and be able to understand abstract Chinese passages. Have the ability to communicate in formal situations.
C.TEST (Test of Practical Chinese) Level 6 1. This level is suitable for people who can use Chinese effectively to support their opinions and assumptions.
2. Goals: Master more advanced vocabulary. Have the ability to deal with complex situations.
Tips for C.TEST (Test of Practical Chinese)
Before taking C.TEST, the most important thing you should do is to expose yourself to using as much Chinese as possible, such as watching TV programs or movies, listening to tapes and taking Chinese lessons.
